This story is but a friendly warning to all of you out there reading this.
I am 17 year old boy and live in Serbia close to the Romanian border, won’t go in detail about the location for privacy reasons. Ever since I know about myself I remember hearing and seeing things that other people didn’t, which gave me a hard time living a normal life.
I go to high school, meet with friends and other people on a daily basis just like a “normal” teen would. Since I gave you a brief overlook on myself let me get to the story.
I usually wake up at 5:30 in the morning and have grown used to the sleepiness that comes with it. As usual, the morning this story starts wasn’t different from any other. Woke up, my sleepy eyes adjusting to the darkness of my room, I grabbed some clothes , anything I could find really, and turned on the lights. My poor self got blinded by the Sun like flare, I stood still for a moment trying to adjust to the newly formed light. Going towards the bathroom I noticed no one was up yet so I made myself as silent as possible and crept my way to the bathroom. Now in order for me to continue this story I need to give you a small overview of the bathroom layout.
As soon as you go in trough the door you will notice that on the left there is a toilet only separated from the shower by a thin wall. On the wall opposite of the door there is a sink with a huge mirror standing above it. On the right side of the bathroom there are only a couple of towel stands and a washing machine conveniently placed in the far right corner of the room.
Getting back to the story;
As I stood before the big mirror glancing at my sleepy and tired face I noticed something, something that was not right. In the mirror I saw a face, a small head peeking around the bathroom door. The face didn’t exactly have any facial features except for the “dents” where the usual things were supposed to be.
I can’t deny that I was creeped out quite a bit by this but since I was used to strange things happening since I was a kid I chucked it off as maybe my tired brain was imagining things, the realization of my mistake came in the following days. Everyday went by pretty normally except for the tiny face appearing in the mirror each morning, watching me with nothing but a blank face. It felt like it was peeking into my soul, taking a piece each time but yet I wasn’t feeling threatened at first…
Days went by with the small floating head peeking at me every morning.
I started noticing changes.
It started growing hair, longer and longer by each day.
It started showing more of its body, its long bony limbs seemed too long for it’s short rigid body, its pale skin looked like concrete and yet it seemed flexible.
Each day it changed, bit by bit and… so was I.
I got diagnosed with skin cancer soon after.
My hair started falling out, my skin started losing color and my life was falling apart… but the creature never left.
I watched , with my own pair of eyes, as the creature assumed my form in the reflection of that God forbidden mirror.
Day by day it looked more and more like me.
The more the cancer took the more the creature formed.
Soon enough I found myself in my last moments of life, the doctors gave me 2 more months and told me to go home and spend my last moments in this plane of existence with my family…and so I did.
The mirror was still there and so was the creature, nothing I could do to change it.
I tried breaking the mirror but each time I’ve done so my body wouldn’t budge, it was as if I was frozen but at the same time I was compelled to go there each morning.
I watched as the few remaining patches on its head grew hair and to my terror it finally moved.
Slowly but surely it was moving, like a statue dragging it’s feet along the floor on the other side of the mirror.
My brain was telling me not to be scared but every other part of my body was screaming danger.
It came closer and that’s when I noticed it’s eyes. They were black yet still glowing with a pale fire. What was this creature?
The long bony hands started shifting and it seemed like they were touching the mirror on the other side but to my disbelief they weren’t, they came straight trough and came out of my side of the mirror.
I could feel the cold hands grabbing me and pull me in like a fisherman reeling in a fish. I was helpless.
I watched in terror as it switched our roles and took over my life without as much as a blink. Hell i don’t think it even blinked.
I was now the faceless silhouette in the mirror.
It glanced at me one last time before it created this wide Grin on it’s face and walked out my front door never to be seen again and I , let’s just say you don’t wanna see me in the mirror the next time you are washing your teeth.
